Deforestation
Good Morning Corrado Clini, we as a group have thoroughly researched various countries that we feel are disadvantaged by the constant practice of deforestation in their area. The effects of deforestation on the world have made numerous impacts on the world. Firstly, all the tree roots in the soil stabilise it, deforestation causes soil to erode and in some cases can cause land slides. Also one of the obvious effects is that of global warming involving the decrease in oxygen in the world and the increase of the emissions into the atmosphere. This has made the world in particular Africa struggle to manage for their people, animals, land and shelter resources. We have come to the conclusion that Africa is in dire need of a change for the good of its environment, people and animals. Firstly Deforestation has affected Africa the most due to the amount of deforestation that has occurred in the country. Firstly Africa has lost so many trees that when someone hears the word West Africa they associate it with a dry desert plains, not a green and clean ecofriendly environment. The loss of so many trees has decreased the amount of oxygen in the country and also decreased the amount of healthy breathing in order to bring up a child. The amount of deforestation that has occurred has also increased the amount of erosion that occurs in the country and also made the soil decrease in value and make farming harder for all who are currently struggling. By putting an end to deforestation it will also bring an end to poverty as well. A crackdown on illegal settlements and increased policing will help end deforestation in the Western African region. This also includes a complete ban on all arsonists and similar activities. We strongly believe that this decision will help benefit all who reside in West Africa and reduce the impact of Global Warming. Thankyou

Diary Log – Lesson 10

The lessons for the day ensured that the website would be ready to be handed up to Mrs. West for marking. In both lessons, Rehan and Gaby kept testing out the website to ensure that no codes would be shown as visible and make the site look dodgy. Also the Flash animated slideshow was uploaded to the website to make the site look slightly more appealing. After the end of the 2nd Period of CathTech, the website was handed to Mrs. West

Diary Log – Lesson 9

The lesson continued and the project continued with both Rehan and Gaby working to the best of their ability to finish their group website. Rehan worked to make sure that the website would be ready to hand up for marking for the next lesson. The lesson was spent working on making an animated slideshow in Flash to upload to the website. It was also used to make the website  more appealing. Gaby also had a bit of an evaluation on the website trying to get the site perfect and testing it in firefox. For Homework both boys will collaborate on the site together.

Diary Log – Lesson 8

The Lesson as usual resumed all work on the group website. The lesson would be the last before the entire site would be due for the next lesson, taking place tomorrow. So both myself and Gaby worked a lot to fix up any rocks in our website and make sure that it was ready to be handed up in the next lesson. Gaby worked on getting all research ready and edited for the final website, making sure that there was a decent and satisfactory amount of effort and detail in the research as well as adding any necessary info. I spent the lesson tiding up the site and adding any other extra media such as music, photos, animated slideshows and more. If we work well at home on the site then we should have no problems with our final site.

Diary Log – Lesson 7

The Lesson resumed all work upon the group website. After recieving the narrative back in which Gaby and Rehan recieved 5/5, both boys used the narrative as a guide on working on the website for the lesson. They also used the storyboard as a guide so that everything could be organised. Rehan and Gaby continued their work on their website researching and organising the website. Rehan imported pictures into the Dreamweaver Site and made a rollover image for the Parramatta Salvation Army. For homework Rehan decided to work on the site while Gaby volunteered to research some extraordinary techniques that could be used in the final website to make it look more appealing.

Diary Log – Lesson 6

The Lesson was primarily spent on working on the website, designing layouts, making media animations, finding information for the site and many more add ons. Rehan began the lesson by starting an animated flash photo slideshow to go onto the website. The slideshow was made to be placed on the Police Community Youth Center Site to make the site more appealing and attractive to all viewers. Gaby in the meantime looked at research for the OurKidz site so that the website could contain more info and be more detailed. Rehan also picked out an appropriate layout for the website and placed an appealing background that he made in Photoshop that would contrast with the text and pictures that had been decided to be place on the site.

Diary Log – Lesson 5

The lesson began as the lesson plans and storyboards were due for the end of the lesson. Both were handed up in accordance. Thus, this opened the way for us to begin work on the actual website. Work begun on all of the pages required for the final product. There was a slight issue with the website, with problems occuring when opened in firefox. We sought the issue with Mrs. West and we decided to try starting it at home. For homework, Gaby is to compile some research while I will design and organise the IT and General User Interface for the final website.

Lesson 3 – Diary Log

The lessons began, resuming all plans that were made in order to begin construction on the final group website. Rehan resumed all work on his website storyboard plan, adding more detail into the site. Much discussion took place from what would appear on the website, how it would look like, what special effects would appear and the content that would feature. Gaby also begun work on a narrative of the content that would be appearing on the site, and describing in who, what, when, where and why, about the general content researched on the business for the website.

Lesson 4 – Diary Log

The lesson began with both myself and Gaby continuing our work on our plans for the website. Rehan began to finish off the Website Storyboard and Narrative is now piecing it together so that it makes complete sense. Gaby continued his elaborative work on his narrative plan for what the website will contain in terms of content. He also made sure that the plans for the storyboard were descriptive enough and gave away enough detail and explanation

Lesson 2 Diary Log

The Second Lesson of the new project began as we were instructed to create a layout storyboard for what our website would look like. I began drawing on A4 sheets of paper, what each page would look like and the text/images/video etc. that would appear on the site. We made our plan more descriptive so we could use the sheets as a references as to what went where. In my opinion the story board will be a great and useful tool in this period of our website designing. In the same lesson Gaby and I continued our research and search for businesses in the Parramatta Diocease that will be useful for the Teach and Unite Campaign
